The Maxi Dress- A Summer Staple

Maxi dresses are making a big comeback this summer, and it’s clear since even celebs seem to be loving this flowy, girly trend. Maxi dresses were a big hit two seasons ago, and now they’re making a comeback like never before.

So how do you wear a maxi dress and when is an appropriate time to pull one off? Take a cue from the stars who are seen wearing them mostly during the day.

Maxi dresses are the perfect summer staple since they’re light, flowy, and best of all long (so you can skip shaving your legs that day!).
I love these dresses because they’re so versatile. You can pair them with wedges, sandals, or flip-flops and they’ll still make a big statement. And since they’re so popular this season, you’ll have no problem finding one…or two.
When choosing a maxi dress, opt for a colorful, printed pattern as well as an empire waist style to cinch you in for a slimmer effect.
So whether you go for a plunging neckline maxi, a strapless one, or a super frilly ruffled maxi dress, the choice is all yours. Take a cue from these celebs and get inspired with your own style!

5 Fashion Tips for Flawless Accessorizing

You may know how to properly outfit your body to flatter your best features and body type but you still might not feel "put together" if you skip out on accessories. After all, an outfit is just an outfit without the right accessories! If you want to look like the chic ladies you admire, but aren’t sure where to begin, use these tips to help you learn how to accessorize properly.

#1. Jewelry Is Not the Only Accessory Sure, jewelry is an easy way to use accessories to create the look you want. However, it’s not the only area of accessories you should consider trying. You can completely change the vibe of clothing by using the power of a handbag or shoes. Think about it. If you’re wearing jeans, sporting tennis shoes and carrying a simple cloth purse, your look will be totally casual. However, if you take those same jeans and add fashion forward high heels and a crocodile skin designer handbag, your look totally changes.

#2. Don’t Over Do it on the Accessories The worst way to accessorize is to completely overdo it. While the current trends encourage a multitude of bangles, layer upon layer of necklaces and dangling earrings, it’s important to not go overboard. If you like accessorizing with the trendy layers of jewelry, be sure you stick with one main layering area. For example, never wear twenty bangles along with six necklaces. Choose either the necklaces or the bracelets and skip wearing bold jewelry on any other area of your body while experimenting with this specific trend. I good rule of thumb is to accessorize all you’d like and then before going out, remove at least one item. This will always keep you from overdoing it and help you avoid looking trashy!

#3. Inexpensive Jewelry Saves The Day – No One Will Know While it’s not everything, there is great ease in accessorizing with jewelry. You can start with a blank canvas, like your favorite Little Black Dress, and make it into anything you want, by adding a trendy earring, belt or bracelet. Lots of women hesitate to use jewelry as their main accessories because it’s so expensive. However, even celebrities like Jennifer Lopez wear fake jewels so don’t be shy about using faux gold, silver or jewels to dress up your outfit. Just be sure you buy higher quality faux jewelry if you want it to last a while. The really cheap stuff usually tarnishes quickly. You can find very inexpensive items at stores like Claire’s or Forever 21.

#4. Use Your Jacket Most fashion experts agree an outfit is not usually complete without a jacket. Even in the warmest months, they recommend you wear a jacket, sweater or scarf of some sort to complete your look. So, be brave and experiment with what looks best on you. Remember, jackets that highlight the smallest part of your waist are always a great choice for any body type.

#5. All The Fashion Extras To Try If you’re one of the ladies who like to take their style to the next level, you might be interested in accessorizing with a special hat or trendy glasses. Hats and glasses can be excellent ways to bring your personality into your attire. Just be careful if you’re wearing a bold hat or trendy glasses to allow the piece you choose to be highlighted and never drown it out or try to allow another accessory to compete for the attention it deserves.

About Fashion Thought

Fashion refers to styles of dress (but can also include cuisine, literature, art, architecture, and general comportment) that are popular in a culture at any given time. Such styles may change quickly, and "fashion" in the more colloquial sense refers to the latest version of these styles. Inherent in the term is the idea that the mode will change more quickly than the culture as a whole.

The terms "fashionable" and "unfashionable" are employed to describe whether someone or something fits in with the current or even not so current, popular mode of expression. The term "fashion" is frequently used in a positive sense, as a synonym for glamour, beauty and style. In this sense, fashions are a sort of communal art, through which a culture examines its notions of beauty and goodness. The term "fashion" is also sometimes used in a negative sense, as a synonym for fads and trends, and materialism. A number of cities are recognized as global fashion centers and are recognized for their fashion weeks, where designers exhibit their new clothing collections to audiences. These cities are Paris, Milan, New York City, and London. Other cities, mainly Los Angeles, Berlin, Tokyo, Rome, Miami, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo, Sydney, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Madrid, Montreal, Mumbai, Vienna, Auckland, Moscow, Delhi, San Juan, Dubai and Dallas also hold fashion weeks and are better recognized every year.
Areas of fashion
Fashions are social phenomena common to many fields of human activity and thinking. The rise and fall of fashions has been especially documented and examined in the following fields:
Architecture, interior design, and landscape design
Arts and crafts
Body type, clothing or costume, cosmetics, personal grooming, hairstyle, and personal adornment
Dance and music

Salwar Kameez Designs

Most traditional Indian clothes are extremely graceful, but I’m sure everyone will agree that traditional clothes are at the same time quite cumbersome too. They are not exactly designed for working. Contrary to most ethnic clothes however, the shalwar kameez, apart from being sophisticated, is also comfortable. It is convenient to wear on short notice and allows ease of movement for the wearer. It’s hardly surprising that the salwar kameez has gained popularity with the large section of working women.

How to Wear Jeggings

With the return of super skinny jeans and leggings this past couple of years, it’s no wonder the jeggings were invented. Jeggings are basically exremely skinny jeans that look like leggings and are also worn like leggings.

I have to say that in the beginning I was not a fan of the skinny jean or the legging, but as time went on, I came to embrace both, and now, it seems like I can’t even wear any other types of jeans but skinny. The problem with these slim types of bottoms is that they’re hard to dress. And jeggings especially, can be a little tricky.

A Few Thumb Rules
First off, make sure jeggings suit your body type. If you don’t feel comfortable in them, don’t wear them – no one’s going to shun you for it!! Second, pick a dark pair that will go with everything from a basic tank to a sweater dress. Also, black slims you down so that’s always a plus. If you’re on the short side, you may want to get a petite pair as a regular pair of jeggings might run a little too long, and there’s nothing worse than 2 feet of bunched up jeans at the bottom.

So What Exactly Can You Wear Jeggings With?

Jeggings are actually quite versatile, and I feel they do a better job than skinny jeans or leggings would. Because they’re still denim material, you don’t have to cover your butt, but they’re so slim and skin-tight like leggings that you can wear a long sweater or tee, a dress, or just throw a long cardigan over.
I love wearing leggings with a pair of chunky heels, a long sweater and a scarf. Add a big tote to that, and you’re set for the day. So if you’re heading to the mall this week, make sure to pick up a pair of jeggings: it’s all you’ll need!

How to Wear Orange

For a lot of people, orange is a hard color to pull off. Surprisingly though, orange is a very flattering color since it instantly adds a natural glow to your skin tone. This spring, designers lit up the runways with a range of vibrant tangerines, neon oranges and amped-up corals that looked yummy and wearable all at once. But if you’re not used to wearing orange, it can seem a little tricky. So here’s how to make sure you’re wearing the right hues at the right time.

If you decide to wear orange near your face, such as a top, a hat or accessories, pick vibrant shades of mango for olive-to-dark skin tone. If you’re a little paler, opt for more muted orange shades such as a sunset color. When trying on garments at the store, just hold up the item near your face; if it makes your eyes pop and brightens up your face, you’ve got a winner. But if it makes you look pale or drab, put it back!

Also, when you’re wearing statement colors such as orange, you have to be able to stand out, and not your clothing. Don’t let the garment take over you, YOU should take over the garment and wear it confidently.

If you want to sport a crazy neon orange but you’re afraid it will look bad against your skin tone, grab something that is away from the face such as a belt or a pair of shoes. Also, remember that you can transition slowly into a new color by taking on a few pieces that have just a hint of orange. After which, you can gradually progress
