Dating Tips for Men: Before the Date
Plan to dress sharp. If you don’t know how to dress at a particular place ask around, call them, or go there before.
Keep in mind it’s better to be a little over dressed than under dressed and don't forget to shine those shoes or clean those sneakers.
Wear some good smelling cologne AND/or aftershave. Two smells I get a load of compliments on are: "Acqua Di Gio" by Giorgio Armani Cologne and the blue bottle of Gillette After Shave Gel.
Where to go? You need to look at her personality and give her options for the date venue unless you already have a great place in mind.
I usually revert to taking a women out to a nicer restaurant that was suggested to me and being in a town or area where you can walk around after dinner.
To have an easy conversation starter know something about the place you are going or a story to go with it.
Also have a back up plan! Not only do you want to give her 2 choices but you want to have something to do if the first part of the date goes too fast.
If she says, “I don’t care” just make a decision right then and there. Take charge of the responsibility of picking because that is what she wants you to do.
BYOB restaurants are a great date and if you go to one make sure you see what kind of wine she likes.
Reds match well with pasta and Whites with fish but if she doesn’t like red wine don’t get it no matter what food your eating. Get what she likes.
Ask her before the date. A classy, great, mid priced white wine is the Italian Pino Grigio "Santa Margherita" and a great reasonably priced red is the Italian Merlot "Versato".
Walking around a little downtown area where there is any one or combination of the following is great for the main part or second leg of your date:
An area or strip with shops or a place where a lot of other people are walking around. And/or a river or ocean view or any nice natural setting, ie. Boardwalk, river trail, ect.
Another good date is a concert or show.
Another great date is doing something she has never done before.

Do you remember her saying, “I never did that before”. The 2 latest “Firsts” I did for women because I heard them say they never did it or would like to do it are:
Michelle: Never went to a Hibachi restaurant. They are entertaining and it was a "first" for her. She loved it!
Amie: Never saw a horse race. So I took her on Saturday early afternoon to catch one and walked her past the stables. She loved it!
This is one of the key Dating Tips for Men. When picking up your date or meeting her somewhere be on time!
Don't be late and don't be early. 5 minutes early to 5 minutes late are ideal. That’s only a 10 minute window but I’ll tell you why.
You don’t want to cut into her precious final minutes of getting ready and you don’t want to make her anxious waiting on you. On the other hand don’t worry if she is late meeting you somewhere. Women will be late more than 50% of the time.

Dating Tips for Men: During the Date
Make sure you smile a lot and listen. You do not need to counter with your own bigger and better experience every time your date says something during conversation. Let her feel her experiences are unique and interesting.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t ever transmit or bring up a similar experience, you just don’t need to do it every time.
Make her laugh. Be funny and not too serious. Always keep it light.
Don’t talk about ex-partners unless asked and don’t elaborate. I usually say “she just wasn’t the one”.
It all comes down to making a good impression and for the both of you to have fun. Now take these Dating Tips for Men and make it happen!
